Tyre Shine
How To: Get Deep, Wet-Look Shine
Nothing finishes off a car wash like high-gloss, deep black tyres. The Bar’s Bugs Tyre Shine is a fast-drying formula that doesn't just look good, it adds a protective layer to your rubber and plastic trim to keep them looking newer for longer.
Where to use it:
-
Tyres & Mud Flaps: For that classic "showroom" wet look.
-
Exterior Plastics: Restores faded bumpers, louvers, and side mouldings.
-
Engine Bay: Great for dressing plastic engine covers (ensure the engine is cool).
3 STEPS TO A SHOWROOM FINISH
1. Prep the Surface
For the best bond and longest-lasting shine, ensure your tyres or trim are clean and completely dry before you start.
2. Shake & Spray
Shake the can well. Hold it upright and spray an even coat around the exterior wall of the tyre. The fast-drying formula will begin to set immediately.
3. The Professional Touch
-
For Large Surfaces: Spray directly onto the area.
-
For Small/Tight Areas: Spray the Tyre Shine onto a Bar’s Bugs Microfibre Cloth first, then wipe it onto the surface. This prevents "overspray" on your paint or wheels.
Pro Tips for a Clean Job
-
Avoid the Brakes: Be careful not to spray Tyre Shine onto brake discs, pads, or the tyre tread itself, as it can make surfaces slippery.
-
Wipe the Overspray: If you get any mist on your alloys or paintwork, simply wipe it off immediately with a clean microfibre cloth.
-
Control Your Shine: Want a more "satin" look instead of high gloss? Spray it on, let it sit for a minute, then give it a light wipe with a cloth to dull the shine slightly.
