Bug & Tar Remover
How To: Remove Bugs & Tar Safely
Road grime, baked-on bugs, and sticky tar don’t just look bad, they can permanently damage your paint if left too long. The Bar’s Bugs Bug & Tar Remover is a powerful foam formula designed to lift contaminants without the need for heavy scrubbing.

Pro Tips for Best Results
-
Catch it early: For tar specifically, apply the spray as soon as possible after exposure.
-
The "Cloth Method": For hard-to-reach areas (like behind door handles or near trim), spray the foam directly onto a microfibre cloth first, then apply to the surface.
-
Cool Surface Only: Never use this on hot panels or in direct sunlight. Always work in the shade.
5 STEPS TO A CLEAN FINISH
1. Shake Well
Give the can a good shake before use to ensure the formula is properly mixed.
2. Spray & Target
Spray the product directly onto the affected vehicle surface. The foam is designed to "cling" to the mess and start breaking it down.
3. Let it Dwell
Leave the foam to sit for approximately 2 minutes. This gives the active ingredients time to loosen the grip of bugs and tar.
4. Wipe Away
Once the contaminants have loosened, wipe them away easily with a clean, damp cloth.
5. Buff to Shine
Buff the area firmly with a clean, dry microfibre cloth to remove any remaining residue and restore the shine.
Important: Please Note
-
Spot Test First: Always test Bug & Tar Remover on an inconspicuous area (like the lower door sills) before full application. If the finish is adversely affected, refrain from use.
-
Stubborn Mess: For very heavy tar or old, baked-on bugs, a second application may be required.
